About the Institute

Where AI governance, ethics, and risk management converge so that AI systems can be developed and operated responsibly.

We are the AI-SDLC Institute. The open curriculum and governance records are published in a public repository — github.com/AISDLC/curriculum — and this site is a static rendering of that repository. The repository is the record.

Why the Institute exists

Unbridled AI deployment needs a cross-disciplinary approach that bridges technology, law, ethics, business, and human oversight. The Institute’s model keeps the human as Chair, with AI as Co-Principal Investigator and Principal Investigator — neither intelligence dominates; both inform, refine, and challenge one another in a continuous loop of alignment.

In traditional oversight, an Institutional Review Board exists in part to know when to end a study — not as a restriction alone, but as the condition that lets a successful protocol scale. Governance does not merely slow innovation; it is the gateway to acceleration when the evidence warrants it.
